Ghost Town

from €60.00
I drove 1000 km over the course of two days on my Namibia solo trip just to see Kolmanskop. I had seen this place only in pictures and had become obsessed with seeing what looked like something out of a Salvador Dali painting. Kolmanskop was once a thriving diamond mining settlement, inhabited by 1200 people. Abandoned in the 1950s, it’s now a surreal desert landscape where sand-filled buildings tell stories of its past. One of the most special moments for me on this trip, roaming around eery corridors and houses with my camera.
